Lord, promise thy servants a good promise, and be the true God of them all; for thou art Lord of all, and God faithful.
Do as God has promised you, and do as He has spoken to you concerning His servants and their house. And now, O LORD God, make me a promise that I have made unto my servants in the house of my servant, and let me keep the promise that I have made unto thee, now and for ever. Now, O Lord God, let me do as God has promised me; now, O Lord God, let us do what I have promised you; for God has promised me.
This means that we should rejoice as children of God, that our words are true, and that our homes are our homes for the time in which we live. God's people must live in such a way that they are presently experiencing what God said He would do. Goodness is promised to his servants, but God is more concerned with the goodness of his servants and their homes than with their own lives.
He made a name for himself by doing great and terrible deeds and driving nations to deliver their people from their gods. and made his name in the sight of his people, driving them out of the land of Egypt.
Lord, you are the true God, and you have made good promises to your servants. Now, Lord, may the promise you have made me become an enduring reality. I will establish a dynasty for my servants in David and reveal to them in God the dynasty that will be established for them.
And king David went and sat before Jehovah, and said, I am thy God, and there is no light in thee except mine eyes. For a while he also said to his servants in the house, "You have done great things to let your servants know of them. And he went out, and went into the great house of the king of Israel, the city of Jerusalem, he, his wife, and his children.
And from what I have heard in mine ears, there is no God, and there is no God but there is God, and I am thy God.
In a very real sense, these words do not grasp what it means to exist in eternity. We will not know what the blessed vision is until we are blessed to enter into the perfection of God's eternal, immutable presence. For this reason, I will focus my remarks on the Servant of Christ forever on how the diaconal formation prepares us for eternal life. To give you a roadmap for what I am going to reflect on today, there are three specific ways in which deacons in formation according to the New Testament should prepare for eternity.
How do we deal with the reality we have to face: would we continue to serve in areas where our work is not recognised, or would we receive any praise from others for the service we render? Develop the heart of a servant: How do you receive and receive praise for your work, and how does your heart respond to the kind of praise you receive and receive from each other for your service?
What can we do to attain the authentic heart of a servant, starting today, in our own lives and in the lives of our family, friends and colleagues?
In other words, servitude means being the servants of others, which means that we can serve others and do whatever it takes to achieve what is best for them. A servant is, therefore, in submission, someone who seeks to satisfy the needs of the person he serves, and not vice versa.
If you do not try to serve others for pure motives, do not follow the Lord, but rather your own selfish desires.
He offered himself as a sacrifice for the sins of the world and remains seated as an intercessor of God. He washed the disciples "feet, knew and trusted his identity, and knew that he was on earth as the servant who must die for our sins, focusing on the reward in the future, but acting with a heart of infinite love. This is the service that we continue to perform daily, the purification from our sin, even though we are the risen and exalted Lord.
