Research shows that the same bitches are overlooked for promotions, are not paid the same for the same work, and their ideas and achievements are stolen from employees and management. The gap between promotion and pay recognition continues, and progress for women in the workplace continues to slow. Although 64% of Fortune 500 companies have more female CEOs than at any time in the Fortune 63-year history of the company, this is a significant increase over last year.
If a man asserts any authority over another man, or is praised as a leader over a woman, the same woman will inevitably rub someone up the wrong way, and that is where the term "slut" comes in. If a guy behaves like a selfish, selfish asshole and no one gets a life, a girl who does the same is branded a slut. The same bitches are victims of the same treatment as their bitchy counterparts because they are perceived as weak.
The majority of women who are called sluts have the strength and courage to use their brains to create positions of power. They make difficult decisions, are not always pleasant and work hard at what they do. Men who possess these qualities are not seen as sluts, but as strong, hard leaders who are respected.
The term slut is a rhetorical tool that transforms trust, dignity, and power into things that are improper. It is a personal attack that is used to make women who seek to flaunt these qualities ugly, fearful and bestial. Women want to be perceived as clever, assertive and respectful, but they also don't want to be perceived as sluts.
Our inner evil bitch complains of being a selfish, nasty person who brings negative energy. Good bitches, on the other hand, are the kind of people who deliberately complain. While both "bad bitch" and "boss bitch" have positive meanings, we will not use the traditional definition of the word "bad" for the sake of description.
The reason why we tend to be attracted to sluts is that it is what they carry with them, their ability to embrace their brazen side and get what they want from a nice girl is not enough. Good bitches are happy to assure everyone that their choices work, even if they are not everyone's best friends. You've probably heard that girls love a villain as much as a nice guy, and the same can be said for the flip side.
Men love bitches because girls turn to him, talk to him and are easy to get. For men, it's about chasing the bitch who cares about you, not the bitches who chase the bitch.
When it comes to negotiating, a bitchy approach works better than a typical nice girl trying to propose. Men are used to living their own way and have to avoid it, but when a woman has her own way of doing things she becomes more intriguing. Men can get a bit confused if they don't get what they want, but they respect it.
Michelle Bergquist, CEO and co-founder of Connected Women Influence, advises women not to hesitate to ask what they want. What men want is a self-respecting woman who has the backbone to love herself.
It is time to end the endless stream of business tips for female executives and replace them all with a golden rule: Be a slut. As women, our fear of her is so strong and omnipresent that she fears the label "slut" and influences our behavior in ways we don't even recognize. From subtle language to statements that weaken women's voices in the workplace, even small changes in the way you say and do things can help you regain the respect you deserve.
When you hear the word "slut," you probably think of that one popular girl in high school who called you by name, or the one colleague you just can't stand. But there's a better way to rein in your worst enemy: F * ck you, you stupid b * tch.
Many women have taken the word "slut" and rebranded it to describe women who are fierce, powerful and fearless leaders, and we call them boss sluts. It is strange that the word has tried to reinvent itself over the years. If the word and its current meaning make you wince, try to keep an open mind.
I write this blog because I believe it has helped me to be successful. I spend a lot of time convincing people who read my blog, follow me on Facebook and maintain my Instagram account that I'm the villain and the best thing since sliced bread. Like I said, I think I'll wear the doggy crown if that's your thing.
In fact, I've found that the bitchier I work, the more desirable I become and the more money I earn. I'm tough and honest, and those are strong qualities that we as businesswomen need to have to be successful.
There is a fine line between a villain and a slut, and crossing that line is not part of Island Girl's game plan. Encouraging you to give up the evil claim on the life of someone you love should never imply adding "slut" to your resume by being fierce and fearless. But if you call someone a slut - be it someone you know, a colleague, a friend or a random stranger - it can hurt.
"The pooch thing was a big point in my life, and it was also a big turning point for me. It felt like I was being judged, but more than that, I was judged by myself. When I went into chatrooms and people started talking to me, I read every single word every single person said to me. I understood why they thought so, but I didn't know myself.
