In the workplace, my moodiness is usually a reaction to pressures such as deadlines, but I have noticed that even ill-advised forays into Twitters cesspool may trigger subtle emotional changes. The second is that my habitually moody behavior is so obvious at work that it has become a signature aspect of my identity. Well, my own experience indicates that humans become cranky after two nights. When you are grumpy, you are not angry or evil - you are simply unlikable at that point in time.
We see a lot of people who are cranky in positions of power -- Jeff Bezos comes to mind. On the other hand, there are many reasons to embrace the grumpiness-for-grumpinesss sake. Just as intriguing is the potential effect that being moody has on creativity. The final piece to the puzzle for me about grumpiness has always been about gender.

After receiving the kiss, Grumpys gratefulness and enamoredness overtakes him, leading the normally curmudgeonly dwarf to dreamily stare into Snow Whites eyes, although he just breaks free from the stare and storms away. At the films climax, Grumpy heroically leads the dwarfs in their quest to save the princess as she is being challenged by the Evil Queen, showing that Grumpy is completely devoted to her.
By the films climax, he is no longer hiding his compassionate side, and he embraces every sense of joy and concern towards both Snow White and the other dwarves, especially Doc. He and Jims pal Norman the Gorilla eventually sit down just to sit down, and they decide that this is a great day for being moody - this, of course, makes the companions a bit better. He says he is not grumpy, but they insist that he is, and each has a take on feeling better, suggestions that will teach readers about the animals characteristics down the road.
With one week until the finale, he is kind of cranky, but does his job. I was kind of an uptight, frumpy, swerving kind of a lady, for many years.
