Muslims use the term Dajjal specifically for The Deceiver , a false Messiah. The Deceiver Messiah), or alternatively simply called The Dajjal, is a malevolent figure in Islamic eschatology, analogous to the Antichrist in Christianity, who would pose as a promised Messiah, appearing prior to the day of judgment according to Islamic eschatological narratives. Al-Dajjal first appears as an Antichrist in Christian pseudo-apocalyptic literature, and is reworked in hadiths attributed to the Prophet Muhammad.
According to Islamic beliefs concerning the End Times, al-Masih al-Dajjal would deceive the worldas people, save for the real Muslims, by means of miracles and other signs. By appearing to perform miracles, ad-Dajjal will be successful at deceiving many, thus his name.
Dajjal will be a charismatic figure, performing miracles in order to convince people to follow him; he will, for example, be able to heal the sick, raise the dead, and conjure up food and drink. The Dajjal will be one who the sun will raise up out of the West, and will reappearance in the area between the Rukn and the Maqaam. He shall be the one-eyed person with human needs, walking around, whereas Allah is not one-eyed or in need of food.
Dajjaal shall at first show himself to be a believer, and he will exhort the people towards the good, but subsequently, he shall declare himself a prophet, and eventually a God. He will make it rain down from heavens as he commands, and, upon killing an individual, Dajjaal will revive the killed individual before the people.
Allah will order the land to hold back all of the products from the land, and no plant will grow. Al-Mahdi will guide this nation in justice and mercy, and will institute Allahs rule.
Dajjal will die at As-Sham, by the eastern gates of Lod, Palestine, May Allah restore him to Muslims. The Dajjal will come close to defeating the Muslims, while the messiah descends from Heaven in a white minaret at the east end of Damascus . The Muslims will battle Dajjal and his forces, but he will besiege Muslims, whether it is in Jerusalem or Damascus.
It is said that ad-Dajjal will not be able to enter the Sanctuary in Mecca or Medina, but he will make his last stand in Jerusalem, the Third Sanctuary. The one who follows dajjal will leave Islam, while the one who rejects him will become the believer. The Messias will chase Dajjal to Lydda or Lod and kill him, while Muslims will go after Jews who are among his followers and who do not convert to Islam.
Finally, the deceitful Messiah) will be defeated and killed by Isa, when the latter merely looks upon him, and--according to some accounts--puts his sword into the Dajjal.
Sunni Muslims confirm that Deceitful Messiah) is a single person, and that when the Dajjal appears, it will remain 40 days, one as long as a year, one as long as a month, one as long as a week, with the remainder of its days as regular days. As another hadith attributed to Ali Ibn Abi Talib states, Most of his followers are Jewish, children of fornication; and that God shall slay the Antichrist, an Islamist, in Syria, in the strait called Afiq, three hours after daytime, by the arm of a promised messiah.
The Dajjals death will come after an angel turns Dajjal toward Ash-Sham, far away from Jerusalems suburbs. Allah will make Dajjal disappear after the evening of the Uqbah of al-Afeeq for three hours, by the hands of the man who is standing behind where the Prophet Isa would be praying.
Muslims believe that before Judgement Day, about the time that Jesus returns to Earth, Ad-Dajjal shall assemble an army of those whom he has tricked, and lead them into battle against Jesus and the Mahdi , accompanied by an army of righteous people. Then, on the eve of Judgment Day, the best and the truest believers will assemble there in support of Jesus and the Mahdi.
Jesus will slay al-Masih al-Dajjal with the spear, and he will bring together the whole world under the banner of Atrueah Islam. Once he is in place, Al-Masih ad-Dajjal will deceive the people by his magical powers, and will take over the whole world, with the exception of the Islamic holy cities of Medina and Mecca. Muslims commonly believe that there will appear yet another figure at the end of the time, known as The Mahdi, meaning The One. The one at the end of the time will be a perfect Muslim and leader of the Islamic nations worldwide. The appearance of Dajjal will challenge the Muslims faith, and only some people will be able to withstand his charms; women especially will find him highly attractive, but he will ruthlessly fight everyone who stands up against him.
Sooner or later, however, Dajjal, the young man with the curly, twisting hair, and blind eyes...will appear somewhere between Syria and Iraq, and spread delusion from left and right .
