He recently organized an Oompa Loompa Dance Party in his chocolate factory, and it was a great success. All the stage hands were dressed in Oompa Loompa costumes and masks and props, which made the whole event look amazing. They also included lollipops and mushroom shaped candies for all to enjoy. On the stage was a huge video screen that showed clips from the classic movie 'Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory'.
The band Primus was about to take the stage at the sold out crowd at Syracuse's landmark theater. As hundreds of Oompa Loompas came running into the aisles, Les Claypool, the lead singer, grabbed his upright bass and started playing. The crowd of thousands went wild as they sang along with their favorite parts from the movie. Les Claypool and his band rocked the house with their unique blend of rock and funk music as they played hits such as 'Candyman' and 'Pure Imagination'. Even people up in the balcony joined in on singing along to some of their favorite songs. After an hour or so of playing, Primus left the stage to a standing ovation from a near sold-out crowd that had been dancing in their feet for most of the night. It was definitely one epic Oompa Loompa Dance Party!
My daughter had her 9th birthday party and I designed it myself. Everyone at the party was like my daughter, so excited and declared it was the best birthday ever. I decorated with tickets in a cardboard wrapper, inspired by the classic book. My own daughter created a very sweet version of the golden tickets.
An Oompa Loompa Dance Party would be the perfect way to celebrate her birthday. We got creative with the decorations and made hard candies, wrapped balloons, and put tissue paper in the factory nuts. For food, we chose small treats like chocolate and paper cellophane-wrapped snacks for the guests. Cutlery was put out for convenience and a few rolls of ribbon were used to cut pieces for decorations. To make it more fun, everyone had to come dressed up in fancy dress costumes like squirrels! The game was that each guest had to complete 3 commands given by an Oompa Loompa roll-player before they could get their treat.
