Amy Rose On Ice is a Sonic the Hedgehog game, which was the first Mario and Sonic game released for Wii in 2008. It saw Amy Rose return as a playable character, voiced by Lisa Ortiz and Cindy Robinson. In 2014 she returned to represent her home country at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and in 2012 she competed at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Amy Rose On Ice is a story about Amy Rose, a hedgehog invited by Sonic to join him and three toads – Mario, Luigi, and Blaze – in preparing invitations for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. As she works on the invitations, she finds a way to strengthen her newfound friendship with Sonic. While doing so, Amy is challenged by Blaze and must prove her ice-skating skills in order to be accepted as part of the team. With support from Sonic, Mario, Luigi and Blaze, Amy perseveres and completes her task.
Sonic Battle, Sonic Series Spinoffs and Sonic Adventure 2 are some of the most popular spinoffs multiplayer games in the Sonic series. Amy was also a playable fighter in Sonic Riders and Sonic Rivals 2. She was even a bonus multiplayer character in some of these games. In addition to her larger roles as a playable character, she has made other sporadic appearances in some of the other titles such as Secret Rings, where she had a small cameo role as a card referee and referee host for both tournaments. She is also featured as an unlockable character in Sonic Free Riders and appears alongside Blaze in the game All-Stars Racing Transformed. Amy Rose on Ice is one of her most important roles to date; she's been an integral part of many spinoff titles such as Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and Mario & Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Amy Rose is a lively and energetic tomboy who loves rose pizza, and has been a faithful loyal customer of ours for twelve years. She's always been ready to try the old college try, whether it be in English, AG or Tom & Com. Amy Rose had exited her house, closed her eyes and made her way to the old tinsel tree. She started stringing up the winter wonderland lights with Sonic’s help. As she did so, Amy's face lit up with a big smile as she felt herself drift off to sleep. Something was hanging in the air that made Amy feel alive again. She fought the urge to keep on sleeping and instead pressed her lips together tightly, determined to make this night special for everyone. Together they hung ornaments, lit the yule log and exchanged gifts at midnight.
Amy Rose on Ice was the first time Sonic and Amy were truly together. When Nintendo asked Sonic Team to pull their arses out of the fire and produce something quickly, they responded with this game. It was a huge success, as Amy and Sonic kept each other alive in this one-on-one platformer. Fans were enthralled as they watched the couple interact with each other, even though Amy was not actually a rabbit or something of that sort! When Amy pressed her lips to Sonic's cheek, he blushed deeply and fans cheered.
Sonic is a character from the Sonic Heroes video game and his frog friend, Big, can be found in the 12 Game Gear games. Amy Rose has a favorite Pikopiko Hammer that she uses to battle enemies. She also searches for her lost Chao creature in the game Triple Trouble. Along with her search rabbit, Cream, they form one of the biggest teams in the game Blast and are accompanied by Chaos, AB, AG and COM. As part of their team they meet Chocola, another Chao creature.
Amy Rose on Ice was one of Sega's first attempts to break into the arcade market. The ambitious Master System games they released had custom chips that allowed for expanded capabilities compared to the stock NES cartridges. To make the game more enjoyable, they added a trackball to swap with the joystick and adjusted the controls to make them easier to use. Unfortunately, it was an embarrassment when Sega lost their license in the UK due to poor sales figures, carts were recalled and Mattel took over.
